Code Enforcement Officer (Two Openings), City of Lewiston

The City of Lewiston is seeking applicants for two positions in Planning and Code Enforcement. Primary duties include but are not limited to the inspection and enforcement of codes related to housing, land use and zoning. One of the open positions includes sanitation, with inspection of food service establishments. Data Analyst, Avesta Housing

This position will be responsible for researching and utilizing data about the people Avesta serves, and aims to serve, in order to advance our ability to do so. RFP for City of Portland Sign Regulations

The City of Portland is seeking proposals from a qualified consultant for the creation of new sign regulations. In June 2017, after a two-year process, the City Council approved the City’s new Comprehensive Plan, Portland’s Plan 2030 (available online at: http://www.portlandmaine.gov/1861/Comprehensive-PlanDocuments). Following this, the Planning & Urban Development Department is now beginning the process of developing a new Unified Land Use Code, incorporating zoning, site plan, subdivision, historic preservation, housing codes and sign regulations into a modern document. Director of Planning and Code Enforcement, City of Lewiston

The City of Lewiston is seeking a Director of Planning and Code Enforcement to lead a department of seven with an annual budget of $460,000. Key responsibilities include working to implement the City’s 2017 Legacy Lewiston Comprehensive Plan; enforcing the City’s various building codes including the property maintenance code; closely coordinating with the Community and Economic Development Department on development projects and housing improvement efforts, including lead remediation; working closely with the Planning Board, Board of Appeals, Historic Preservation Review Board, and City Council on Planning and Code issues; participating as a key member of the City’s overall management team.
