Community/Regional Planner, KVCOG

Kennebec Valley Council of Governments (KVCOG) is accepting applications for the position of Community Planner. The Community Planner provides professional services in land use planning, growth management, code development and enforcement, GIS, transportation systems, and other areas of the discipline as required. KVCOG's planners provide planning assistance to as many as 84 towns in a four-county area ranging from Gardiner, through Augusta, Waterville, Skowhegan and as far north as the Canadian border. We also conduct regional planning initiatives and work closely with community and economic development professionals both on staff and cooperating partners. To apply, you must have at least a bachelor's degree in one of the disciplines related to community planning, and demonstrated experience in at least one of the areas listed above. To do the job well, you must demonstrate the ability to multi-task and assimilate new information and ideas. We will offer a salary between $45,000 and $55,000, depending on qualifications, with a comprehensive benefit package. Invitation for Bid (IFB): Town of Kittery and Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Joint Land Use Study (JLUS)

The Town of Kittery is accepting sealed bids for the Town of Kittery and Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Joint Land Use Study (JLUS). The intent and purpose of the JLUS is to produce a cooperative land use planning document. The JLUS will be focused around PNSY and the Kittery Region, addressing transportation, housing, land use and other issues related to the shipyard and surrounding region. Each bid shall be submitted to the Town Manager's Office at Town Hall, located at 200 Rogers Road in Kittery, ME, in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the bidder’s name and “KITTERY JLUS IFB” on the outside. Electronic format of bids will not be accepted. Responses received will be opened on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 4:00 PM at Town Hall. 

Questions pertaining to general information regarding the project and/or interpretation of specifications during the bidding period shall be addressed only in writing. No questions will be answered in-person or via telephone.
