On behalf of the MAP Legislative Policy Committee (LPC), you are invited to attend a meeting with DEP to discuss proposed changes to Site Law regulations. The meeting will be held April 3, 2009 from 1:00PM to 3:30PM in the third floor conference room at Lewiston City Hall, 27 Pine Street. At this time, Jim Cassida and Andrew Fisk from DEP plan on attending to discuss the proposed changes.
As you may be aware, there are a number of LD's being proposed this session that involve Site Law:
LD 431: An Act to Make the Site Location Development Laws More Development Friendly
LD 891: An Act to Amend the Site Location of Development Laws To Include Consideration of Greenhouse Gas Emissions
LR 1235: An Act to Update the Site Location of Development Law

MAP will not be providing copies of any of the bills at the meeting and I’m not certain if DEP will have copies. Therefore, please come prepared to the meeting. Limited parking is available on surrounding streets. Ample parking is available at 1 Oak Street, the municipal parking garage, two short blocks from City Hall. Be sure to bring your parking garage stub to the meeting to have it validated or you will have to pay upon leaving the parking garage.
