Review of the Minutes from October

Presidents Report

t       No major issues to report

 

Treasurer’s Report

t       Fred should be able to attend future meetings

t       Fred sent a report – no major changes

t       Maureen moves to accept the treasurer’s report

 

Newsletter Update

Want to publish by Nov. 15th

Still need content for the newsletter

t       Presidents Letter

o       NNECAPA

t       Grow Smart Maine – Beth – will look for something by Maggie Drummond (Noel – question about how we should participate in such a process

o       Include critique by three Maine economists

o        

t       Beth – see about article by Frank O’Hara

t       Hugh – two article ideas

o       Grow Smart Education Committee – briefs

o       Development Transfer Fees – Gorham – Maureen will call Mark Eyerman

t       Shorebird, Wading Bird Habitat – Jim will contact DEP, might also check with Madge Baker (MAP Member)

t       Affordable Housing – Maureen? Don’t want to write an article just about Cape Elizabeth.  Anne Krieg?  Beth (maybe) companion piece – concept of requiring affordable unit is subdivisions. Next Newsletter.

t       Membership – Jim will send a short paragraph with some numbers on membership, renewals and overdue – website, etc.

 

NNECAPA Grant

t       Maureen moves that we commit $1,000 to sponsor the Place Making public meeting Place Making Event. 

o        Passed unanimously

o        Noel will follow up

t       Maureen moves $1,000 for scholarships to attend the event.

o        There was a lot of discussion about how these would be offered – complex arrangements

o        Motion withdrawn – pending additional information

t       Jim reported that the Scenic Viewshed preservation – so far not

 

t       Scenic View shed protection
