SEARCH EXTENDED TO JULY 15: The Chittenden County Metropolitan Planning Organization (CCMPO), the award-winning transportation planning and policy authority for the Burlington, VT, metro region, seeks a motivated and experienced Executive Director to lead Chittenden County transportation and policy development.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Requires a minimum of ten years experience leading complex planning studies, projects and activities, preferably with a MPO or similar regional transportation and land use planning organization, including the management of teams of professional staff for at least three years.  A Master’s Degree in Transportation, Planning, Civil or Traffic Engineering, Public Administration or related field is desirable.  Requires a current and working knowledge of Federal, State of Vermont, and regional transportation and land use planning laws, regulations, and guidance.

SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS: Demonstrated leadership in delivering complex planning projects and activities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the proven ability and desire to present effectively. Working experience with Microsoft Office suite required and knowledge of complex transportation and land use modeling tools preferred.
